Description
Le marais de Peri est une petite zone humide située sur la commune de Solaro (Haute Corse) entre la route nationale et la mer, à l'extrémité sud de la longue côte sableuse qui s'étend au nord jusqu'à Bastia. Le marais de Peri est allongé parallèlement au rivage. Il est séparé de la mer par une formation dunaire couverte d'Hélianthèmes et de quelques touffes d'Oyats en avant de la dune. Des Pins maritimes isolés dominent cette végétation. La zone humide proprement dite est ceinturée par une bande de Tamaris qui se prolonge au nord jusqu'au débouché d'un petit ruisseau près d'un cabanon situé sur la plage. La végétation palustre, composée de joncs, de phragmites et de quelques typhas, recouvre presque entièrement le marais et laisse peu d'eau libre. Une petite phragmitaie qui régénère après incendie, est localisée au nord du site à l'embouchure du ruisseau.On note une très belle station à Vitex et la présence d'oiseaux d'eau en reproduction.
